Os verbos irregulares são aqueles que têm mais de uma forma. Eles se conjugam no infinitivo, no passado e no particípio passado de formas diferentes, mas pode ocorrer da sua conjugação ser igual a do outro tempo verbal. Eles não seguem regra geral na formação do passado e do particípio passado. Aqui estão alguns exemplos dos verbos mais usados:
